The distinctive "Capital A" form of Manitoba Hyfro Place is created by the two "vertical neighborhood" towers which splay out on the southern facade, dynamically harnessing solar exposure and consistently robust southerly winds for heating and cooling. The towers are "fused" at the north end by the 115 metre solar chimney, creating the locally dubbed "Open Book" form.
